Single review by email@example.com
It was way back in 2011 that we first featured uncle and nephew duo Casimer & Casimir when they happened to email us through the song 'Anne Cherchait l'Amour', and it was kind of love at first listen. A string of songs and a couple of years down the line and it was all a bit puzzling that they hadn't made much of a breakthrough yet. Other music sites had caught on and there was plenty of love for the duo, but they remained unsigned, steadily making a name for themselves.
We're over the moon to announce that they're now releasing a single on Brille, a label who have previously released tunes by Good Shoes, Operator Please and The Knife. Breakthrough at last, and highly deserved. The A-side of the single (digital available soon with vinyl to follow) is the typically lovely indiepop of 'O Sweet Joe Pye', another that shows those little sparks of invention mixing in with the impeccable tune on offer. There's almost a '70s pop vibe at times, a little like ELO's 'Mr. Blue Sky' or something similar. Whatever, it's a top song and we're dead chuffed for them.
