Aside from being a member of The Dresden Dolls and Evelyn Evelyn and appearing in the buff in the new Flaming Lips video, Amanda Palmer manages to find the time to put out solo albums too - or in this case with The Grand Theft Orchestra - who release 'Theatre Is Evil' on Monday. She very kindly offered up first single 'Do It With A Rockstar' as a free download recently. So here it is.

Whale Fire - Wild-Eyed Mistake
The US seem to be ruling the roost when it comes to indie/alternative music at the moment, and hot on the heels of the other million American bands we've featured come Whale Fire. Daughn Gibson - Reach Into The Fire
Talking of drummers, it's a little known fact that acclaimed singer-songwriter Daughn Gibson began his musical journey hitting the skins for Pearls & Brass. His debut album 'All Hell' showed much promise and led to a contract with the excellent Sub Pop label. Here's his first track for them, the slightly crooned and oddly funky 'Reach Into The Fire'.
